The main object of this Movement is to present the true, original message of Islam to the whole world — Islam as it is found in the Holy Quran and the life of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), obscured today by grave misconceptions and wrong popular notions.

Islam seeks to attract the hearts and minds of people towards the truth, by means of reasoning, good moral example, and the natural beauty of its principles. It neither aspires to gain political power, nor allows the use of force in support of the faith.

How will we know Islam as found in the Qur'an without reading it? How will we know the Profit's life without reading his Sira & Sunnah?  The quotation contains one egregious lie which I am compelled to expose to the world.

• It neither aspires to gain political power, nor allows the use of force in support of the faith.
• Islam does not aspire to temporal power.
• Islam does not allow the use of force in support of the faith.
  

     Islam aspires to gain political power: total world domination. I do not ask you to take my word for this fact, I have sufficient evidence to prove it. I quote from The Noble Qur'an, translated by Hilali & Khan. I link to ten parallel translations at www.quranbrowser.com.  Tafsir references are to Ibn Kathir.       

• 13:41. See they not that We gradually reduce the land (of disbelievers, by giving it to the believers, in war victories) from its outlying borders. And Allâh judges, there is none to put back His Judgment and He is Swift at reckoning.
  
• 21:44. Nay, We gave the luxuries of this life to these men and their fathers until the period grew long for them. See they not that We gradually reduce the land (in their control) from its outlying borders? Is it then they who will overcome. 
• 24:55. Allâh has promised those among you who believe, and do righteous good deeds, that He will certainly grant them succession to (the present rulers) in the earth, as He granted it to those before them, and that He will grant them the authority to practise their religion, that which He has chosen for them (i.e. Islâm). And He will surely give them in exchange a safe security after their fear (provided) they (believers) worship Me and do not associate anything (in worship) with Me. But whoever disbelieved after this, they are the Fâsiqûn (rebellious, disobedient to Allâh). 
• This is a promise from Allah to His Messenger that He would cause his Ummah to become successors on earth, i.e., they would become the leaders and rulers of mankind, through whom He would reform the world and to whom people would submit, so that they would have in exchange a safe security after their fear. This is what Allah did indeed do, may He be glorified and exalted, and to Him be praise and blessings. For He did not cause His Messenger to die until He had given him victory over Makkah, Khaybar, Bahrayn, all of the Arabian Peninsula and Yemen; and he took Jizyah from the Zoroastrians of Hajar and from some of the border lands of Syria; and he exchanged gifts with Heraclius the ruler of Byzantium, the ruler of Egypt and Alexandria, the Muqawqis, the kings of Oman and An-Najashi of Abyssinia, who had become king after Ashamah, may Allah have mercy on him and grant him honor.... Allah's Promise to the Believers that He would grant them Succession
  
  
• 9:33. It is He Who has sent His Messenger (Muhammad) with guidance and the religion of truth (Islâm), to make it superior over all religions even though the Mushrikûn (polytheists, pagans, idolaters, disbelievers in the Oneness of Allâh) hate (it).
  

    Allah commands Muslims to fight pagans until only Allah is worshiped. He commands them to fight people with scriptural religions until they are subjugated and make annual extortion payments.  

• 8:39. And fight them until there is no more Fitnah (disbelief and polytheism: i.e. worshipping others besides Allâh) and the religion (worship) will all be for Allâh Alone [in the whole of the world ]. But if they cease (worshipping others besides Allâh), then certainly, Allâh is All-Seer of what they do.
• 9:29. Fight against those who (1) believe not in Allâh, (2) nor in the Last Day, (3) nor forbid that which has been forbidden by Allâh and His Messenger (4) and those who acknowledge not the religion of truth (i.e. Islâm) among the people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians), until they pay the Jizyah with willing submission, and feel themselves subdued.

Only Allah has the right to be worshiped.   

• 2:255. Allâh! Lâ ilâha illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He), the Ever Living, the One Who sustains and protects all that exists. Neither slumber, nor sleep overtake Him. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on earth. Who is he that can intercede with Him except with His Permission? He knows what happens to them (His creatures) in this world, and what will happen to them in the Hereafter . And they will never compass anything of His Knowledge except that which He wills. His Kursî extends over the heavens and the earth, and He feels no fatigue in guarding and preserving them. And He is the Most High, the Most Great. [This Verse 2:255 is called Ayat-ul-Kursî.] 
• ...(To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth) indicates that everyone is a servant for Allah, a part of His kingdom and under His power and authority. Similarly, Allah said,... Ayat Al-Kursi has Ten Complete Arabic Sentences 1. Allah's statement
• 23:116. So Exalted be Allâh, the True King, Lâ ilâha illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He), the Lord of the Supreme Throne! 
  
  

        By this we learn that Allah is supreme, he rules the world.  If any doubt remains after 24:55, then examine this crystal clear gem of exposure.

• 33:36. It is not for a believer, man or woman, when Allâh and His Messenger have decreed a matter that they should have any option in their decision. And whoever disobeys Allâh and His Messenger, he has indeed strayed in a plain error. 
• (It is not for a believer, man or woman, when Allah and His Messenger have decreed a matter that they should have any option in their decision.) This Ayah is general in meaning and applies to all matters, i.e., if Allah and His Messenger decreed a matter, no one has the right to go against that, and no one has any choice or room for personal opinion in this case. Allah says: (But no, by your Lord, they can have no faith, until they make you judge in all disputes between them, and find in themselves no resistance against your decisions, and accept (them) with full submission.) (4:65) Hence the issue of going against it is addressed in such strong terms, as Allah says: (And whoever disobeys Allah and His Messenger, he has indeed strayed into a plain error.) This is like the Ayah:
  (And let those who oppose the Messenger's commandment, beware, lest some Fitnah should befall them or a painful torment be inflicted on them) (24:63). ... The Reason for Revelation
• Bukhari  Ch 61 # 2756: ...It is mentioned from Ibn 'Umar from the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, "My provision has been placed under the shadow of my spear, and abasement and humility have been placed on the one who disobeys my command.

Clearly, the assertion that Islam seeks no temporal power is absolutely false, by the ample testimony of Allah and his Messenger!

    Islam not only allows, but mandates offensive violence in obtaining temporal power. I do not ask you to take my word for this, I have ample evidence in Islam's canon of scripture, tradition, jurisprudence & exegeses.   

    Jihad is mandated by Surah Al-Baqarah 216.

• 2:216. Jihâd (holy fighting in Allâh's Cause) is ordained for you (Muslims) though you dislike it, and it may be that you dislike a thing which is good for you and that you like a thing which is bad for you. Allâh knows but you do not know.
• In this Ayah, Allah made it obligatory for the Muslims to fight in Jihad against the evil of the enemy who transgress against Islam. Az-Zuhri said, "Jihad is required from every person, whether he actually joins the fighting or remains behind. Whoever remains behind is required to give support, if support is warranted; to provide aid, if aid is needed; and to march forth, if he is commanded to do so. If he is not needed, then he remains behind.''... Jihad is made Obligatory

    Caution is required in reading that tafsir. this clause the evil of the enemy who transgress against Islam might seem to indicate that the mandate is strictly defensive. Transgression against Isnam is not so narrowly defined. I direct your attention to the Tafsir of 5:33.

• (The recompense of those who wage war against Allah and His Messenger and do mischief in the land is only that they shall be killed or crucified or their hands and their feet be cut off on the opposite sides, or be exiled from the land.) `Wage war' mentioned here means, oppose and contradict, and it includes disbelief, blocking roads and spreading fear in the fairways.... The Punishment of those Who Cause Mischief in the Land

Disbelief in Allah is sufficient to subject you to the listed hudud. It is also sufficient to make you a victim of offensive warfare.  The primary Jihad imperatives are contained in Al-Anfal  39 and At-Taubah 29 which are quoted above. Al Anfal 60 commands Muslims to maintain strength and preparation for war.  Hilali & Khan go slightly overboard in contemporizing in their parenthetic commentary. 

• 8:60. And make ready against them all you can of power, including steeds of war (tanks, planes, missiles, artillery, etc.) to threaten the enemy of Allah and your enemy, and others besides whom, you may not know but whom Allah does know. And whatever you shall spend in the Cause of Allah shall be repaid unto you, and you shall not be treated unjustly.

At-Taubah 123 confirms the earlier imperatives.

• 9:123. O you who believe! Fight those of the disbelievers who are close to you, and let them find harshness in you, and know that Allâh is with those who are the Al-Muttaqûn (the pious - see V.2:2).

    Those imperatives are not anachronistic. Jihad will be performed continuously from the beginning of Moe's mission to Judgment Day. Jihad is the Muslim's 'original religion'; they will be cursed if they abandon it.

      Narrated Anas ibn Malik:
  
      The Prophet (peace_be_upon_him) said: Three things are the roots of faith: to refrain from (killing) a person who utters, "There is no god but Allah" and not to declare him unbeliever whatever sin he commits, and not to excommunicate him from Islam for his any action; and jihad will be performed continuously since the day Allah sent me as a prophet until the day the last member of my community will fight with the Dajjal (Antichrist). The tyranny of any tyrant and the justice of any just (ruler) will not invalidate it. One must have faith in Divine decree.
• Abu Dawud Book 23, Number 3455:

  Narrated Abdullah ibn Umar:

  I heard the Apostle of Allah, (peace_be_upon_him) say: When you enter into the inah transaction, hold the tails of oxen, are pleased with agriculture, and give up conducting jihad (struggle in the way of Allah). Allah will make disgrace prevail over you, and will not withdraw it until you return to your original religion.

    Shari'ah, Islam's canon of jurisprudence, is based primarily on the Qur'an & hadith. Umdat as-Salik contains some vital information which confirms what I have revealed to you. I quote from Umdat as-Salik. Book O, Chapter 9.

O9.1: The Obligatory Character of Jihad

Jihad is a communal obligation (def: c3.2).  When enough people perform it to successfully accomplish it, it is no longer obligatory upon others (O: the evidence for which is the Prophet's saying (Allah bless him and give him peace),

"He who provides the equipment for a soldier in jihad has himself performed jihad,"

and Allah Most High having said:

"Those of the believers who are unhurt but sit behind are not equal to those who fight in Allah's path with their property and lives. Allah has preferred those who fight with their property and lives a whole degree above those who sit behind. And to each, Allah has promised great good" (Koran 4:95).

If none of those concerned perform jihad, and it does not happen at all, then everyone who is aware that it is obligatory is guilty of sin, if there was a possibility of having performed it. In the time of the Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace) jihad was a communal obligation after his emigration (hijra) to Medina. As for subsequent times, there are two possible states in respect to non-Muslims.

The first is when they are in their own countries, in which case jihad (def: o9.8) is a communal obligation, and this is what our author is speaking of when he says, "Jihad is a communal obligation," meaning upon the Muslims each year.

The second state is when non-Muslims invade a Muslim country or near to one, in which case jihad is personally obligatory (def: c3.2) upon the inhabitants of that country, who must repel the non-Muslims with whatever they can).

O9.8: The Objectives of Jihad

The caliph (o25) makes war upon Jews, Christians, and Zoroastrians (N: provided he has first invited them to enter Islam in faith and practice, and if they will not, then invited them to enter the social order of Islam by paying the non-Muslim poll tax (jizya, def: o11.4) -which is the significance of their paying it, not the money itself-while remaining in their ancestral religions) (O: and the war continues) until they become Muslim or else pay the non-Muslim poll tax (O: in accordance with the word of Allah Most High,

"Fight those who do not believe in Allah and the Last Day and who forbid not what Allah and His messenger have forbidden-who do not practice the religion of truth, being of those who have been given the Book-until they pay the poll tax out of hand and are humbled" (Koran 9.29),...

.    Take note of the last highlighted phrase in O9.1: meaning upon the Muslims each year. What does it mean? Could it possibly mean that offensive Jihad against Kuffar must be performed at least once each year until Dar al-Harb is entirely conquered?  Al-Shaffi'i & Al-Ghazali agree on this essential matter of Shari'ah.

Al-Shafi'i (God have mercy on him) said: "The least that the imam must do is that he allow no year to pass without having organised a military expedition by himself, or by his raiding parties, according to the Muslims' interest, so that the jihad will only be stopped in a year for a (reasonable) excuse." He said: "If he did not undertake the sending of enough troops to fight, those who are absent (must) go out, and consider as an obligation that which God (who is praised) said." I said: "What I have mentioned showed that if a group was needed to carry out an expedition, [f. 175 a] our duty was incumbent on all of them.

Below is what Al-Ghazali actually wrote about jihad war, and the treatment of the vanquished non-Muslim dhimmi peoples (from the Wagjiz, written in 1101 A.D.): …one must go on jihad (i.e., warlike razzias or raids) at least once a year...one may use a catapult against them [non-Muslims] when they are in a fortress, even if among them are women and children. One may set fire to them and/or drown them...If a person of the Ahl al-Kitab [People of The Book - Jews and Christians, typically] is enslaved, his marriage is [automatically] revoked…One may cut down their trees...One must destroy their useless books. Jihadists may take as booty whatever they decide...they may steal as much food as they need...

    Scoffers & skeptics are diredted to click these tafsir titles and read the tafsir which confirm the obvious. Therein you will discover the roots of  supremacism, triumphalism & offensive Jihad.

• The Command to have Enmity towards the Disbelievers and to abandon supporting Them
• The Command to strike the Enemies' Necks, tighten Their Bonds, and then free Them either by an Act of Grace or for a Ransom
• The Order to fight until there is no more Fitnah
• Allah gives Victory to the Believing Group
• Permission to fight; this is the first Ayah of Jihad
• The Order for Jihad against the Disbelievers, the Closest, then the Farthest Areas
• The Order to fight to eradicate Shirk and Kufr

Victoria Part Three: The Anti-Islam Guy

The above linked blog post from '05 contains a photo of Lorenzo Bouchard wearing a sandwich board which reads: " Awake Islam's a Religion of War".
There is a coffee cup in his left hand, fliers in his right. No weapons; no threats. The other side of his sign is a cross.  Here is what the blogger had to write on that occasion.

It seems this guy is downright sick of Muslim fundamentalists blowing stuff up, and offers another crusade as a viable solution. Hold you comments for just one second–there are excellent results from a successful crusade or genocide. You meet your objective of eliminating the thread at hand. However, the collateral damage is usually considered (i.e., should be) to be too significant a cost to pay in exchange for your goals. In this way, most civilized nations prefer to try and isolate and punish criminals as entities-of-themselves and not entities-in-a-state.

You can imagine why I thought this was weird, then. In the US, this kind of reaction is expected. In my peace-loving Canada? No way!

    Given a voice crying in the city, warning of Islam's evil nature & intention, the blogger conjures up the image of a Crusade and imputes genocidal intent. On the other hand, he displays his bias by characterizing the Mujahideen as domestic criminals to be arrested & prosecuted.

    The blogger makes the mistake of overlooking the fact that Islam conflates temporal & spiritual power. Moe was Allah's vice-regent, empowered to rule the world. The structure of Islam's Caliphate is feudalistic. As Moe conquered one kindom after another, he set up local rulers to maintain control and collect Zakat & Jizya, forwarding them to Mekkah.

• 8:73. And those who disbelieve are allies to one another, (and) if you (Muslims of the whole world collectively) do not do so (i.e. become allies, as one united block with one Khalifah - chief Muslim ruler for the whole Muslim world to make victorious Allâh's Religion of Islâmic Monotheism), there will be Fitnah (wars, battles, polytheism, etc.) and oppression on earth, and a great mischief and corruption (appearance of polytheism).

Moe's intent was to have one monolithic entity:  Ummah al-Islamiyya, the Nation of Islam.

    Jihad is war, not a common domestic criminal offense. Jihad is also a mandatory intrinsic sacrament of Islam, which, by Islamic law, must be carried out at least once in every year.

    What is Jihad?  The parenthetical in 2:216 says "holy fighting in Allah's cause". What is Allah's cause?

• Sahih Bukhari  Volume 4, Book 52, Number 65:

  
  Narrated Abu Musa:
  
  A man came to the Prophet and asked, "A man fights for war booty; another fights for fame and a third fights for showing off; which of them fights in Allah's Cause?" The Prophet said, "He who fights that Allah's Word (i.e. Islam) should be superior, fights in Allah's Cause." 

What is the legal definition? Umdat as-Salik has the answer.

Chapter O9.0: Jihad

(O: Jihad means to war against non-Muslims, and is etymologically derived from the word mujahada signifying warfare to establish the religion. And it is the lesser jihad. As for the greater jihad, it is spiritual warfare against the lower self (nafs), which is why the Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace) said as he was returning from jihad.

``We have returned from the lesser jihad to the greater jihad.''

The scriptural basis for jihad, prior to scholarly consensus (def: b7) is such Koranic verses as:

-1- ``Fighting is prescribed for you'' (Koran 2:216);

-2- ``Slay them wherever you find them'' (Koran 4:89);

-3- ``Fight the idolators utterly'' (Koran 9:36);

and such hadiths as the one related by Bukhari and Muslim that the Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace) said:

``I have been commanded to fight people until they testify that there is no god but Allah and that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah, and perform the prayer, and pay zakat. If they say it, they have saved their blood and possessions from me, except for the rights of Islam over them. And their final reckoning is with Allah'';

and the hadith reported by Muslim,

``To go forth in the morning or evening to fight in the path of Allah is better than the whole world and everything in it.''Details concerning jihad are found in the accounts of the military expeditions of the Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace), including his own martial forays and those on which he dispatched others. The former consist of the ones he personally attended, some twenty-seven (others say twenty-nine) of them. He fought in eight of them, and killed only one person with his noble hand, Ubayy ibn Khalaf, at the battle of Uhud. On the latter expeditions he sent others to fight, himself remaining at Medina, and these were forty-seven in number.)

    Jihad akbar is an-nafs; how the Hell do you get killed that way? Get a clue, for Chrissake! 

• 4:74. Let those (believers) who sell the life of this world for the Hereafter fight in the Cause of Allâh, and whoso fights in the Cause of Allâh, and is killed or gets victory, We shall bestow on him a great reward. 

• 9:111. Verily, Allâh has purchased of the believers their lives and their properties; for the price that theirs shall be the Paradise. They fight in Allâh's Cause, so they kill (others) and are killed. It is a promise in truth which is binding on Him in the Taurât (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel) and the Qur'ân. And who is truer to his covenant than Allâh? Then rejoice in the bargain which you have concluded. That is the supreme success.

    Do you think it couldn't possibly mean that; it must be mis-translated or mis-interpreted? Pull your head out of your anus long enough to re-read the last paragraph of O9.0

Got a clue yet?  If not then read Riyad us-Salaheen, Book 11, Chapter 234: Obligation of Jihad.  But surely it must be an anachronism, not applicable after the passage of 1386 years. Wrong again!

But surely those passages are subjet to ijtihad and can be re-interpreted for modern times and conditions. Wrong again!

• Abu Dawud Book 23, Number 3455:

  Narrated Abdullah ibn Umar:

    It is clear from this hadith that Jihad, offensive wars of conquest for the purpose of accruing spoils and expanding Dar al-Islam is the core sacrament of Islam; the essence of the 'religion'.

Genocide

    In the egregious matter of genocide: it is another intrinsic sacrament of Islam!

• 8:67. It is not for a Prophet that he should have prisoners of war (and free them with ransom) until he had made a great slaughter (among his enemies) in the land. You desire the good of this world (i.e. the money of ransom for freeing the captives), but Allâh desires (for you) the Hereafter. And Allâh is All-Mighty, All-Wise.

• Abu Dawud Book 38, Number 4390:

  Narrated Atiyyah al-Qurazi:
  I was among the captives of Banu Qurayzah. They (the Companions) examined us, and those who had begun to grow hair (pubes) were killed, and those who had not were not killed. I was among those who had not grown hair.

• 47:4. So, when you meet (in fight Jihâd in Allâh's Cause), those who disbelieve smite at their necks till when you have killed and wounded many of them, then bind a bond firmly (on them, i.e. take them as captives). Thereafter (is the time) either for generosity (i.e. free them without ransom), or ransom (according to what benefits Islâm), until the war lays down its burden.     If you think those commands are apocryphal, metaphorical, or limited chronologically or geographically, then you are an ignorant damn fool.  The Qur'an is  Allah's perfected, immutable law which never expires. It is timeless, and Jihad continues until Judgment Day!

Now comes Victoria News with a one sided approach to inter-cultural dialog. Google alerted me to the existence of their editorial from which I have quoted a few excerpts out of context  with my comments.

EDITORIAL: Conversations about ethnic and cultural differences right way to go

This arises in context of Lorenzo Bouchard's campaign to ban Islam from Canada. He allegedly posted demands for an Islam ban on bulletin boards at a local university. Subsequently, Muslim students claimed to be in fear for their physical safety because of those postings.

Fears about safety have been churned up in the Muslim student community at the University of Victoria recently

Is there any rational basis for those 'fears", or are they the product of paranoia or political expediency? Does Lorenzo Bouchard have a proven history of making or carrying out threats of physical violence?  Was there any threatening language in those posters?  While those questions remain unanswered, I will presume that the claims of "fears" are the product of political expediency.

There are violent passages in virtually all sacred religious texts, including some that target specific groups and some simply declaring the omnipotence of the god figure.

I am only familiar with Christian & Islamic scripture. Are Buddhists & Hindus engaging in Jihad? Did they perpetrate the attacks at Beslan, London, Madrid or New York?  Then why bring up other scriptures?  

The fact is that Islam's scripture contains open ended, outcome oriented Jihad imperatives without chronological or geographic limits. I present the text of those ayat as translated by Hilali & Khan, with links to parallel translations and to Ibn Kathir's Tafsir. [Emphasis added.]

• 8:39. And fight them until there is no more Fitnah (disbelief and polytheism: i.e. worshipping others besides Allâh) and the religion (worship) will all be for Allâh Alone [in the whole of the world ]. But if they cease (worshipping others besides Allâh), then certainly, Allâh is All-Seer of what they do.
• The Order to fight to eradicate Shirk and Kufr
• 9:29.  Fight against those who (1) believe not in Allâh, (2) nor in the Last Day, (3) nor forbid that which has been forbidden by Allâh and His Messenger (4) and those who acknowledge not the religion of truth (i.e. Islâm) among the people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians), until they pay the Jizyah with willing submission, and feel themselves subdued.

Those are fight...until loops with compound terminal conditions; without time limits. They are not anachronisms. Their revelator prophesied that Jihad would continue until the last day.

• ...and jihad will be performed continuously since the day Allah sent me as a prophet until the day the last member of my community will fight with the Dajjal (Antichrist).... Abu Dawud Book 14, Number 2526

The entire world must be conquered, no matter how long it takes, and Muslims will be cursed if they abandon their duty, as made clear in this hadith.

  Narrated Abdullah ibn Umar:

  I heard the Apostle of Allah, (peace_be_upon_him) say: When you enter into the inah transaction, hold the tails of oxen, are pleased with agriculture, and give up conducting jihad (struggle in the way of Allah). Allah will make disgrace prevail over you, and will not withdraw it until you return to your original religion.

Can you connect the dots?

Conducting Jihad is their religion.  I do not find in the Christian Gospels any direct equivalent to Islam's Jihad imperative. If you find one, please submit the book chapter & verse.

We must be careful as a society not to encourage the ignorance-based idea that everyone who adheres to a particular faith will interpret those passages the same way.

Muslims are not empowered to interpret their scripture, which includes two types of verses: clear and unclear.  The clear verses contain Allah's commands, including those cited above, and his rules, etc. which are to be believed in and implemented. The clear verses do not require interpretation.  The meaning of the clear verses has been fixed by scholars, based upon Moe's sunnah.  The unclear verses have meanings known only to Allah, and are to be believed but not implemented. To fully comprehend this, you need to read 3:7 and its tafsir.

• 3:7. It is He Who has sent down to you (Muhammad ) the Book (this Qur'ân). In it are Verses that are entirely clear, they are the foundations of the Book [and those are the Verses of Al-Ahkâm (commandments, etc.), Al-Farâ'id (obligatory duties) and Al-Hudud (legal laws for the punishment of thieves, adulterers, etc.)]; and others not entirely clear. So as for those in whose hearts there is a deviation (from the truth) they follow that which is not entirely clear thereof, seeking Al-Fitnah (polytheism and trials, etc.), and seeking for its hidden meanings, but none knows its hidden meanings save Allâh. And those who are firmly grounded in knowledge say: "We believe in it; the whole of it (clear and unclear Verses) are from our Lord." And none receive admonition except men of understanding. (Tafsir At-Tabarî).
• ...The Muhkamat are the Ayat that explain the abrogating rulings, the allowed, prohibited, laws, limits, obligations and rulings that should be believed in and implemented. As for the Mutashabihat Ayat, they include the abrogated Ayat, parables, oaths, and what should be believed in, but not implemented.... The Mutashabihat and Muhkamat Ayat

Moe demonstrated the meaning of 8:39 & 9:29 by waging numerous wars, as reported in his sunnah. Follow the links to the hadith cited above and use the links in the left side bar to go up to the next few levels and read the several books of Jihad in the four collections at USC.  While Ibn Kathir goes into detail about the orders to fight, other exegetes find them so obvious that no elaboration is required. Examine these examples; note how Maududi goes into great detail about Jizya, but not the order to fight.

The ban Islam campaign also calls for the destruction of the Qur’an, the Islamic holy book. On some levels, that’s like saying we should ban other religions because their holy texts refer to non-believers as heathens who should be destroyed.

Please substantiate this assertion. Lorenzo's petitions* call for Islam to be banned, they do not mention destroying the Qur'an. They also explicitly state the grounds on which Islam should be outlawed.

But in this day and age, we must be vigilant when individuals or groups with a certain viewpoint threaten – either implicitly or directly – the well-being of others who are minding their own business.

It appears to this reader that your editorial is casting innuendo against Lorenzo Bouchard, accusing him of threatening Muslims. If you have evidence of any threat, why don't you publish it?

    The business of Islam; of Muslims is Jihad. Must we be vigilant against those who explicitly threaten our well being? It appears that you have no clue concerning the application of your own expression. the time and place for which is before the final descent of Jesus (upon whom be peace).  After his final coming, nothing but Islam will be accepted from them, for taking the poll tax is only effective until Jesus' descent (upon him and our Prophet be peace), which is the divinely revealed law of Muhammad. The coming of Jesus does not entail a separate divinely revealed law, for he will rule by the law of Muhammad. As for the Prophet's saying (Allah bless him and give him peace),

"I am the last, there will be no prophet after me,"

this does not contradict the final coming of Jesus (upon whom be peace), since he will not rule according to the Evangel, but as a follower of our Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace) ).

When Muslims carry out demonstrations, they frequently display signs urging our decapitation and proclaiming that Islam will conquer and dominate us. What do you say about those threats?

    Our interests are life, liberty, prosperity peace & security. Islam's interest is conquering the entire world for Allah, to fulfill his demonic mandate. We have no mutual interest.

    Palestine is Israel. Jews are Palestinians. The Muslims, Arabs & mixed breeds illegally occupying Gaza and the West Bank are Falestinians, not Palestinians. The Levant is Jewish homeland, not Muslim Arab homeland. Muslim history in the Levant begins with Caliph Umar's conquest of 638.  There is no reason for a Falestinian state, the Kingdom of Jordan would serve that purpose if there was any reason.

Ultimately, we cannot tell either the Israelis or the Palestinians what's best for them. They're going to have to make some decisions. But I do believe that the moment is ripe for both sides to realize that the path that they are on is one that is not going to result in prosperity and security for their people. And that instead, it's time to return to the negotiating table.

    Islam is on the war path, Israel seeks peace. The existence of Muslims in the region is the only obstacle to peace. Those Muslims should decide to abandon Jihad, but they will not, because Allah will curse them if they do [Abu Dawud 32.3455]. They must fulfill their demonic mandate to reconquer Israel [9:29].  Muslims are interested in conquest, neither prosperity nor security. The life of this world is but an illusion; they sold it for the gardens of Paradise in the next [9:111]. What is there to negotiate about with those who seed your total destruction [Muslim 41.6985]?

I think that there are ideas across the region of how we might pursue peace.

    Islam pursues 'peace' through conquest so that Dar al-Harb will be totally engulfed by Dar al-Islam. Get a clue, idiot.  Victory is a prequisite to peace. While Islam exists on this planet, peace will not.

But I also believe that there are Israelis who recognize that it is important to achieve peace. They will be willing to make sacrifices if the time is appropriate and if there is serious partnership on the other side.

    Peace is achieved through  extermination of aggressors, not  by appeasement. No matter what Israel sacrifices, she will get nothing but escalated atteaks in return. There is nothing to negotiate about with those Hellbent on  genocide.

Well, I think that when you look at the rhetoric that they've been using against me before I even took office --what that tells me is that their ideas are bankrupt. There's no actions that they've taken that say a child in the Muslim world is getting a better education because of them, or has better health care because of them.

In my inauguration speech, I spoke about: You will be judged on what you've built, not what you've destroyed. And what they've been doing is destroying things. And over time, I think the Muslim world has recognized that that path is leading no place, except more death and destruction.

And so what I want to communicate is the fact that in all my travels throughout the Muslim world, what I've come to understand is that regardless of your faith -- and America is a country of Muslims, Jews, Christians, non-believers -- regardless of your faith, people all have certain common hopes and common dreams.

4:77. Have you not seen those who were told to hold back their hands (from fighting) and perform As-Salât (Iqâmat­as­Salât), and give Zakât, but when the fighting was ordained for them, behold! a section of them fear men as they fear Allâh or even more. They say: "Our Lord! Why have you ordained for us fighting? Would that you had granted us respite for a short period?" Say: "Short is the enjoyment of this world. The Hereafter is (far) better for him who fears Allâh, and you shall not be dealt with unjustly even equal to the Fatilâ (a scalish thread in the long slit of a date­stone).

6:32. And the life of this world is nothing but play and amusement. But far better is the house in the Hereafter for those who are Al­Muttaqûn (the pious - see V.2:2). Will you not then understand?

9:111. Verily, Allâh has purchased of the believers their lives and their properties; for the price that theirs shall be the Paradise. They fight in Allâh's Cause, so they kill (others) and are killed. It is a promise in truth which is binding on Him in the Taurât (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel) and the Qur'ân. And who is truer to his covenant than Allâh? Then rejoice in the bargain which you have concluded. That is the supreme success .

And my job is to communicate to the American people that the Muslim world is filled with extraordinary people who simply want to live their lives and see their children live better lives.

    That is not what they want. They want to Impose Allah and the rule of his writ upon the entire world by force, as Allah commanded them to do.

But if you look at the track record, as you say, America was not born as a colonial power, and that the same respect and partnership that America had with the Muslim world as recently as 20 or 30 years ago, there's no reason why we can't restore that. Andthat I think is going to be an important task.

    America was born as a group of colonies who threw off the colonial power and established independence. Muslims never respected us and never will, they hold us in contempt because we are not Muslims.  Muslims can not take disbelievers as partners except fraudulently, to lull us into complacency; setting us up for attack.  Thirty years ago, Khomeini's mob seized our embassy and held the staff hostage for a year.

And you're going to see me following through with dealing with a drawdown of troops in Iraq, so that Iraqis can start taking more responsibility. And finally, I think you've already seen a commitment, in terms of closing Guantanamo, and making clear that even as we are decisive in going after terrorist organizations that would kill innocent civilians, that we're going to do so on our terms, and we're going to do so respecting the rule of law that I think makes America great.

    Iraqui responsibility is a function of secular, competent leadership with integrity, not corrupt Muslims lining their pockets. Decreasing American troop levels will not increase Iraqui responsibility, it will invite the rival gangs to kill each other & al-Qaeda to resume and expand operations.

    The statement is void, meaningless. The enemy is Islam, a predatory institution dedicated to warmongering.     The rule of law that makes America great is a domestic matter: our Constitution, which enumerates the limited powers of the federal government.  Government by consent of the governed, for limited, well defined purposes is what makes this nation exceptional.  Foreign Salafist warriors captured on distant battlefields do not have Miranda rights, are not entitled to counsel or trials.  Their entitlement is to one bullet between the eyes. The high rate of recidivism among those released so far points out the idicy of President Obama's policies.

I think that you're making a very important point. And that is that the language we use matters. And what we need to understand is, is that there are extremist organizations -- whether Muslim or any other faith in the past -- that will use faith as a justification for violence. We cannot paint with a broad brush a faith as a consequence of the violence that is done in that faith's name.     Why in Hell is Jihad ordained for the "religion of peace"?  For defense? Yeah, right. Moe fought one defensive battle when the Mekkans set out to eliminate him.  Too bad they failed!

    Allah commanded Muslims to fight disbelievers until all resistance ends and only Allah is worshiped: a total monopoly of faith and practice global in scope.

8:39. And fight them until there is no more Fitnah (disbelief and polytheism: i.e. worshipping others besides Allâh) and the religion (worship) will all be for Allâh Alone [in the whole of the world ]. But if they cease (worshipping others besides Allâh), then certainly, Allâh is All-Seer of what they do.

    What does that mean, if not exactly what it says? What did Moe do about it? Try reading Ibn Kathir's Tafsir if you have any doubt: The Order to fight to eradicate Shirk and Kufr.

9:29. Fight against those who (1) believe not in Allâh, (2) nor in the Last Day, (3) nor forbid that which has been forbidden by Allâh and His Messenger (4) and those who acknowledge not the religion of truth (i.e. Islâm) among the people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians), until they pay the Jizyah with willing submission, and feel themselves subdued.

    How do you explain that away?  Don't try, it is enshrined in Islamic law: Umdat as-Salik O9.8.

"Fight those who do not believe in Allah and the Last Day and who forbid not what Allah and His messenger have forbidden-who do not practice the religion of truth, being of those who have been given the Book-until they pay the poll tax out of hand and are humbled" (Koran 9.29),...

    Think you can explain that away? Give it a try in the comments, but, before you do, read Ibn Kathir's Tafsir: The Order to fight People of the Scriptures until They give the Jizyah.

    Each of the four major hadith collections has a book of Jihad or Expedition. How do you explain that fact? Sahih Bukhari dedicates three books: Jihad, Khumus & Expedition to war related matters. Explain that away, if you can.  

    One hadith collected by Abu Dawud proves my point better than any other. It illustrates the fatal fact of Islam: Islam is Jihad!

Abu Dawud Book 23, Number 3455:

Narrated Abdullah ibn Umar:

I heard the Apostle of Allah, (peace_be_upon_him) say: When you enter into the inah transaction, hold the tails of oxen, are pleased with agriculture, and give up conducting jihad (struggle in the way of Allah). Allah will make disgrace prevail over you, and will not withdraw it until you return to your original religion.

And so you will I think see our administration be very clear in distinguishing between organizations like al Qaeda -- that espouse violence, espouse terror and act on it -- and people who may disagree with my administration and certain actions, or may have a particular viewpoint in terms of how their countries should develop. We can have legitimate disagreements but still be respectful. I cannot respect terrorist organizations that would kill innocent civilians and we will hunt them down.

    Islam is the terrorist organization that kills innocent civilians. Hunt it down and eracicate it! Moe was the prototypical terrorist.

    The last sentence in the current quote proves that we elected a fool.

If you have come forth to strive in My Cause and to seek My Good Pleasure, (then take not these disbelievers and polytheists, etc., as your friends). You show friendship to them in secret, while I am All-Aware of what you conceal and what you reveal. And whosoever of you (Muslims) does that, then indeed he has gone (far) astray, (away) from the Straight Path .

    I have shown you two of seven ayeh which forbid friendly relations with disbelievers. If you have a good Muslim buddy, he is not a good Muslim or -  this hadith cited by Ibn Kathir might apply.

For instance, Al-Bukhari recorded that Abu Ad-Darda' said, "We smile in the face of some people although our hearts curse them.'' Al-Bukhari said that Al-Hasan said, "The Tuqyah is allowed until the Day of Resurrection.'' [The Prohibition of Supporting the Disbelievers]

You know, I said during the campaign that it is very important for us to make sure that we are using all the tools of U.S. power, including diplomacy, in our relationship with Iran.

Now, the Iranian people are a great people, and Persian civilization is a great civilization. Iran has acted in ways that's not conducive to peace and prosperity in the region: their threats against Israel; their pursuit of a nuclear weapon which could potentially set off an arms race in the region that would make everybody less safe; their support of terrorist organizations in the past -- none of these things have been helpful.

But I do think that it is important for us to be willing to talk to Iran, to express very clearly where our differences are, but where there are potential avenues for progress. And we will over the next several months be laying out our general framework and approach. And as I said during my inauguration speech, if countries like Iran are willing to unclench their fist, they will find an extended hand from us.

    Go ahead, talk to Iran. Tell them about Hiroshima & Nagasaki. Tell them "once is enough, but we can use them again if we need to, and we will not hesitate". Unless you will say "Go to Hell and be damned!", there is nothing else to say to Iran. There is nothing to negotiate about with someone pledged to destroy our civilization.

Islam is a religion of PEACE. It doesn’t teach us to kill unlike other religions. Muslims start their greetings with “As-salaam-wa Alaikum Wa Rahmatu Allah Wa Barakatuh”, which means in English “May GOD’s peace, mercy and blessings be upon you.”

Allah states: “Whoever kills a human being… then it is as though he has killed all mankind; and whoever saves a human life it is as though he had saved all mankind.”

No one probably ever heard of such a stunning message of peace, which considers killing just one person (be it innocent or not) tantamount to killing the entire humanity? Now the doubters should not have any more skepticism about Muslim’s claim that “Islam is a religion of peace”.

The unjustified criticisms of and spitting venoms at Islam by the hateful Islam-bashers got to stop now..

What did the Muslims do? They invaded, terrorized, killed, enslaved & plundered.  After the men surrendered, Moe had their heads cut off. He had the boys examined; those who reached puberty were decapitated, the juveniles were sold as slaves.

• The quote is from Surah Al-Ma'idah   32.  Of course, Muslims don't like to quote the next ayeh to Kuffar. But I like to, and I like to cite Ibn Kathir's tafsir of 5:32. 
• The recompense of those who wage war against Allah and His Messenger and do mischief in the land is only that they shall be killed or crucified or their hands and their feet be cut off on the opposite sides, or be exiled from the land. That is their disgrace in this world, and a great torment is theirs in the Hereafter.
• What is the meaning of "wage war against Allah"? Ibn Kathir gives an explicit answer: `Wage war' mentioned here means, oppose and contradict, and it includes disbelief, blocking roads and spreading fear in the fairways..  Notice the phrase I emphasized. disbelief is one of the definitions of waging war, which subjects one to the specified hudud.

• The catch is: only if that person is a Muslim! The parenthetical 'or not' is totally bogus. Islam does not recognize the sanctity of life of Kuffar
• And if they say so, pray like our prayers, face our Qibla and slaughter as we slaughter, then their blood and property will be sacred to us[Bukhari 1.8.387]. 
• Now the doubters should not have any more skepticism about Muslim’s claim that “Islam is a religion of peace”.
• We are not in doubt; we know blessed well that Islam is a war cult, not a religion of peace. I have published 490 excerpts from Islam's canon of scripture, tradition & jurisprudence which leave no doubt. Those texts form a congruent pattern of unmistakable clarity.

• Criticism of Islam is not unjustified. A trail of blood & tears; the bones of millions of innocent victims from Medina to Mumbai testify to this fatal fact.  Those of us who understand Islam; who have read its revelation, tradition & exegeses will not be silent. Morality demands that we share our knowledge with others less informed. 

    Further confirmation is found in Shari'ah. Reliance of the Traveller is recognized as authentic by Al-Azhar.  Book O, Chapter 9 defines Jihad, tells us how frequently it must be performed and against whom. This is Islamic law, and it condemns the war cult in the eyes of all sentient persons with a scintilla of morality.

The coming of Jesus does not entail a separate divinely revealed law, for he will rule by the law of Muhammad. As for the Prophet's saying (Allah bless him and give him peace),

  "I am the last, there will be no prophet after me,"

  this does not contradict the final coming of Jesus (upon whom be peace), since he will not rule according to the Evangel, but as a follower of our Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace) ).

  The caliph fights all other peoples until they become Muslim (O: because they are not a people with a Book, nor honored as such, and are not permitted to settle with paying the poll tax (jizya) ) (n: though according to the Hanafi school, peoples of all other religions, even idol worshippers, are permitted to live under the protection of the Islamic state if they either become Muslim or agree to pay the poll tax, the sole exceptions to which are apostates from Islam and idol worshippers who are Arabs, neither of whom has any choice but becoming Muslim (al-Hidaya sharh Bidaya al-mubtadi' (y21), 6.48-49) ).

    Jihad is defined as fighting Kuffar to establish Islam. It's minimal requirement is one military expedition per year. It is carried out against people of the book until they are subjugated & extorted and against all other people until they are converted.  That is not my opinion, it is Islamic law derived from Qur'an & Sunnah as applied by the Shafi'ite school. Which mainstream Madh'hab rejects it?  What does the Hanafi school say?

The destruction of the sword is incurred by infidels, although they be not the first aggressors, as appears from various passages in the traditions which are generally received to this effect. […] When the Muslims enter the enemy’s country and besiege the cities or strongholds of the infidels, it is necessary to invite them to embrace the faith, because Ibn Abbas relates of the Prophet that he never destroyed any without previously inviting them to embrace the faith. If, therefore, they embrace the faith, it is unnecessary to war with them, because that which was the design of the war is then obtained without war. […] If the infidels, upon receiving the call, neither consent to it nor agree to pay capitation tax, it is then incumbent on the Muslims to call upon God for assistance, and to make war upon them […]

How about the more pacifist Sufi? What did Al-Ghazali say?

1. Ibn Kathir's Tafsir uses ayat & hadith to explain the meanings of  ayat. Allah's imperatives are contained in clear verses, requiring no explanation. The following list consists of the titles of several tafsir which explain Allah's commands & orders to fight. These titles are linked to the tafsir; click them, read and understand how peaceful islam ain't.

• The Command to strike the Enemies' Necks, tighten Their Bonds, and then free Them either by an Act of Grace or for a Ransom

    The statement includes an enumerated list of fifteen points which present a target rich environment In this installment, I'll take on the eleventh point  of agreement.[Links & emphasis added.]

We profess that Catholics and Muslims are called to be instruments of love and harmony among believers, and for humanity as a whole, renouncing any oppression, aggressive violence and terrorism, especially that committed in the name of religion, and upholding the principle of justice for all.

    Taken at face value, the eleventh point means that the participants accept the concept of benign religion. Lets break it down into discrete elements for easier analysis.

    Universal benevolence is part of Christianity, not part of Islam.  Islamic charity extends to their Muslim brothers, not to the wider world. Examine 2:273 and the surrounding context. Where does the loot come from, and where does it go?

• 8:41. And know that whatever of war-booty that you may gain, verily one-fifth (1/5th) of it is assigned to Allah, and to the Messenger, and to the near relatives [of the Messenger (Muhammad)], (and also) the orphans, Al-Masakin (the poor) and the wayfarer, if you have believed in Allah and in that which We sent down to Our slave (Muhammad) on the Day of criterion (between right and wrong), the Day when the two forces met (the battle of Badr) - And Allah is Able to do all things.

They attacked camel caravans & peaceful villages, slaughtered the men, selling the women and children as slaves. Do you imagine that they shared the spoils with the victim class (Kuffar)?  Love for humanity as a whole pretty well took a flier with  Moe's declaration that he was ordered to fight them until they embrace Islam, when their blood and property would become sacred to Muslims. For those who missed it in a previous installment, it is Sahih Bukhari 1.8.387.

    Renouncing oppression? A great sentiment, ain't it, but it  ain't part of Islam. Observe 3:110 and the saying which explains its meaning.

• 3:110. You [true believers in Islamic Monotheism, and real followers of Prophet Muhammad  and his Sunnah (legal ways, etc.)] are the best of peoples ever raised up for mankind; you enjoin Al-Ma'ruf (i.e. Islamic Monotheism and all that Islam has ordained) and forbid Al-Munkar (polytheism, disbelief and all that Islam has forbidden), and you believe in Allah. And had the people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians) believed, it would have been better for them; among them are some who have faith, but most of them are Al-Fasiqun (disobedient to Allah - and rebellious against Allah's Command).
• Sahih Bukhari Volume 6, Book 60, Number 80:
  
  Narrated Abu Huraira:
  
  The Verse:--"You (true Muslims) are the best of peoples ever raised up for mankind." means, the best of peoples for the people, as you bring them with chains on their necks till they embrace Islam.
• 47:4. So, when you meet (in fight Jihad in Allah's Cause), those who disbelieve smite at their necks till when you have killed and wounded many of them, then bind a bond firmly (on them, i.e. take them as captives). Thereafter (is the time) either for generosity (i.e. free them without ransom), or ransom (according to what benefits Islam), until the war lays down its burden. Thus [you are ordered by Allah to continue in carrying out Jihad against the disbelievers till they embrace Islam... 

If you missed the quotes from Reliance of the Traveller, outlining the restrictions placed on conquered Jews & Christians, reading this will make up for it.

    Renouncing aggressive violence violates Islamic law. Reliance of the Traveller makes it clear to all who will read it that Muslims may not abjure any part of the Qur'an. There is a list in O8.7, of acts which entail apostasy, which bears the death penalty.[O.8.1, 8.2]

• O8.7.7 to deny any verse of the Koran or anything which by scholarly consensus (def: b7) belongs to it, or to add a verse that does belong to it;

One verse in Surah Al-Baqarah makes participation in Jihad mandatory.

• 2:216. Jihad (holy fighting in Allah's Cause) is ordained for you (Muslims) though you dislike it, and it may be that you dislike a thing which is good for you and that you like a thing which is bad for you. Allah knows but you do not know.

The ayat containing Allah's orders to fight are clear and imperative. I will cite three of them with tafsir links so that you can confirm their obvious meaning.

• 8:39. And fight them until there is no more Fitnah (disbelief and polytheism: i.e. worshipping others besides Allah) and the religion (worship) will all be for Allah Alone [in the whole of the world ]. But if they cease (worshipping others besides Allah), then certainly, Allah is All-Seer of what they do.
• The Order to fight until there is no more Fitnah

• 9:29. Fight against those who (1) believe not in Allah, (2) nor in the Last Day, (3) nor forbid that which has been forbidden by Allah and His Messenger (4) and those who acknowledge not the religion of truth (i.e. Islam) among the people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians), until they pay the Jizyah with willing submission, and feel themselves subdued.
• The Order to fight People of the Scriptures until They give the Jizyah
• 9:123.O you who believe! Fight those of the disbelievers who are close to you, and let them find harshness in you, and know that Allah is with those who are the Al-Muttaqun (the pious - see V.2:2).

    Terrorism is another Islamic sacrament that no Muslim can renounce.  

• 3:151. We shall cast terror into the hearts of those who disbelieve, because they joined others in worship with Allah, for which He had sent no authority; their abode will be the Fire and how evil is the abode of the Zalimun (polytheists and wrong­doers).
• 8:12.Remember) when your Lord inspired the angels, "Verily, I am with you, so keep firm those who have believed. I will cast terror into the hearts of those who have disbelieved, so strike them over the necks, and smite over all their fingers and toes."

    Genocidal Jihad & terrorism are sacraments, carried out in Allah's cause: to make his word superior.

    Justice is another matter. When Catholics use that word, the subtext is most likely to be Socialism. When Muslims use it, the subtext is "just us". 2:282 starts out with the proper meaning of justice, but deviates from it by declaring female testimony inferior. 4:29-30 deal with Justice between Muslims, of course, Kuffar are another matter; fair prey as per . Bukhari 1.8.387.

     Either the Muslim participants in the forum are contradicting Allah & his Messenger and abandoning Islam or their affirmation of peace & justice  is insincere. Which is it?

• Terrorism:
• 3:151. We shall cast terror into the hearts of those who disbelieve, ...
• 8:12. ... I will cast terror into the hearts of those who have disbelieved, so strike them over the necks, and smite over all their fingers and toes."
• Bukhari Volume 4, Book 52, Number 220:
   Narrated Abu Huraira:
  
      Allah's Apostle said, "I have been sent with the shortest expressions bearing the widest meanings, and I have been made victorious with terror (cast in the hearts of the enemy),...
• Rape of captive women:
• 4:24. Also (forbidden are) women already married, except those (captives and slaves) whom your right hands possess.
• Bukhari 5.59.459 

    Jihad, genocide, terrorism & rape (of captives) are intrinsic sacraments of Islam; religious practices under the umbrella of first amendment protection.  That does not square with liberal principles:

• right to life
• liberty
• freedom of religious belief & practice.

If Muslims have the right to practice Islam, then you do not have any rights.

• Muslims may kill you as a rebel against Allah. Your blood and property are not sacred to Muslims.
• Muslims are commanded to attack Kuffar at least once in every year. [Reliance O9.1]

• Pagans & atheists  must be killed, converted or enslaved. 
• People of the Book may be converted or live as less than second class citizens under a "treaty of protection".
• Dhimmis may not:

• build new churches
• repair existing churches

    Muslims can not renounce the Qur'an or any part thereof without becoming apostates subject to the death penalty.

• Reliance O8.7.7 to deny any verse of the Koran or anything which by scholarly consensus (def: b7) belongs to it, or to add a verse that does belong to it; [Acts which entail apostasy.]
• O8.1 When a person who has reached puberty and is sane voluntarily apostatizes from Islam, he deserves to be killed.
• O8.2  In such a case, it is obligatory for the caliph (A: or his representive) to ask him to repent and return to Islam. If he does, it is accepted from him, but if he refuses, he is immediately killed.

    The Qur'an can not be edited to render Islam anodyne.

• Allah has perfected it. Perfection can only be defiled, not improved. 
• 6:115. And the Word of your Lord has been fulfilled in truth and in justice. None can change His Words. And He is the All­Hearer, the All­Knower

    An irreconcilable conflict exists between the imperatives of Islam and the rules of civilized behavior & rights of man enshrined in the Declaration of Independence & guaranteed by the Constitution.  The preservation of our lives & liberties requires the removal of  Islam from our society.

• Close the Mosques.
• Close the Madrassahs.
• Close the Islamic Cultural Centers.
• Deport the Muslims already here. 
• Prevent the entry of Muslims. 

    None of those necessary actions can be taken without first amending the Constitution to recognize the fact that Islam is a war machine, not a legitimate religion worthy of first amendment protection.  Pedestrian Infidel has posted a proposed 28^th amendment. An on line petition calling for a generic amendment is explained here and is posted at petition on line.

Mr Karzai said he would go "to any length" to protect Mullah Mohammad Omar, who has a $10 million price on his head from the US government.

He challenged his Western backers to leave the country or remove him if they disagreed.

"If I hear from him that he is willing to come to Afghanistan or to negotiate for peace... I, as the president of Afghanistan, will go to any length providing protection," Mr Karzai told a press conference.

"If I say I want protection for Mullah Omar, the international community has two choices - remove me or leave if they disagree," he said.

Tell me again why our troops are fighting and dying to keep this 'Mayor of  Kabul' in power?

We are wasting blood & treasure in Afghanistan because our elected leaders are ignorant damned fools with neither knowledge, courage nor convictions.   We sent an invasion force where we needed to send thermonuclear weapons.

    The stated strategic objectives are absolute impossibilities; they can never be obtained by invasion.

are battlefronts in one war: Islam's global conquest of Kuffar. They are not separate, unrelated incidents. Our elected leaders are unaware of this fatal fact; unable to perceive the big picture because they have not read and comprehended Islam's canon of scripture, tradition and jurisprudence.  

    What our leaders don't know will cost us much treasure and, ultimately, our lives, liberties and culture. All will be lost because they are neglecting our defense.  They don't know who the enemy is or why he is inimical.  They don't know that this enemy can not be placated. It can not be appeased. It will not tire. It will not quit until it has conquered the entire world.

    Muslims are not freemen; they are Allah's slaves, having sold their lives and their earthly prospects to Allah in return for admission to gardens flowing with rivers of wine & honey, with trees of low hanging fruit always in season and full breasted maidens who remain virgins no matter how often the Muslims sport with them. For that, the Muslims sold themselves, so that they fight, kill and are killed in Allah's cause.  Our elected leaders are unaware of this fatal fact because they have not read Islam's canon of scripture.  Go to 55:46 and  78:31 and read about the Paradise.

    Al-Taubah 111 discusses the bargain between Allah and his slaves. Go now and read it. This is reinforced in As-Saff 10-13, which explicitly sets Jihad as the price of admission to Paradise. Go read it. The gardens are mentioned often as a reward for those killed in Jihad. Why don't you believe me?

    Why the war? Because Moe was a pirate, deriving his revenue from ghazwat. I must be a liar and a damned fool; Moe was a Prophet. Yeah, right. Which one of us has read the Qur'an & Hadith? Somebody does not know his subject, and it ain't me. I have something you do not have: proof.

Bukhari  Ch 61 # 2756: ...It is mentioned from Ibn 'Umar from the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, "My provision has been placed under the shadow of my spear, and abasement and humility have been placed on the one who disobeys my command.

That ahadith has been Bowdlerized from other on line texts but it is still in some hard copies. Moe got his living by his spear.  For the abasement & humility part, see  3:112. But you need confirmation, don't you. I have it.

Muslim Book 019, Number 4327:
The spoils of war were not made lawful for any people before us, This is because Allah saw our weakness and humility and made them lawful for us.

Allah gave Moe special dispensation to accrue spoils.  One hadith lists five special qualities that set Moe apart from other Prophets. One of them is relevant to this matter.

Bukhari Volume 1, Book 7, Number 331:
3. The booty has been made Halal (lawful) for me yet it was not lawful for anyone else before me.

In another hadith collected by Bukhari, Moe brags about victory through terrorism and claims all the world's wealth for himself.

Bukhari Volume 4, Book 52, Number 220:
 Narrated Abu Huraira:

    Allah's Apostle said, "I have been sent with the shortest expressions bearing the widest meanings, and I have been made victorious with terror (cast in the hearts of the enemy), and while I was sleeping, the keys of the treasures of the world were brought to me and put in my hand." Abu Huraira added: Allah's Apostle has left the world and now you, people, are bringing out those treasures (i.e. the Prophet did not benefit by them).

How did Moe become wealthy?

Bukhari Volume 3, Book 37, Number 495:

    Narrated Abu Huraira:

    Whenever a dead man in debt was brought to Allah's Apostle he would ask, "Has he left anything to repay his debt?" If he was informed that he had left something to repay his debts, he would offer his funeral prayer, otherwise he would tell the Muslims to offer their friend's funeral prayer. When Allah made the Prophet wealthy through conquests, he said, "I am more rightful than other believers to be the guardian of the believers, so if a Muslim dies while in debt, I am responsible for the repayment of his debt, and whoever leaves wealth (after his death) it will belong to his heirs. "

How are the spoils to be allocated?

8:1. They ask you (O Muhammad) about the spoils of war. Say: "The spoils are for Allah and the Messenger." So fear Allah and adjust all matters of difference among you, and obey Allah and His Messenger (Muhammad), if you are believers.

8:41. And know that whatever of war-booty that you may gain, verily one-fifth (1/5th) of it is assigned to Allah, and to the Messenger, and to the near relatives [of the Messenger (Muhammad)], (and also) the orphans, Al-Masâkin (the poor) and the wayfarer, if you have believed in Allah and in that which We sent down to Our slave (Muhammad) on the Day of criterion (between right and wrong), the Day when the two forces met (the battle of Badr) - And Allah is Able to do all things.

In one ayeh, Allah specifies genocide as a prerequisite for ransoming captives and tells us explicitly what motivated Moe. Read it and curse Islam.

8:67. It is not for a Prophet that he should have prisoners of war (and free them with ransom) until he had made a great slaughter (among his enemies) in the land. You desire the good of this world (i.e. the money of ransom for freeing the captives), but Allah desires (for you) the Hereafter. And Allah is All-Mighty, All-Wise.

Of course, as always, you require confirmation. I have it for you.

33:26. And those of the people of the Scripture who backed them (the disbelievers) Allah brought them down from their forts and cast terror into their hearts, (so that) a group (of them) you killed, and a group (of them) you made captives.
33:27. And He caused you to inherit their lands, and their houses, and their riches, and a land which you had not trodden (before). And Allah is Able to do all things.

What did Allah do to that Jewish settlement?  What did Moe receive as a result?

    Now you know the why, and you have a hint of what. I will now provide more explicit detail: Allah's open ended, outcome oriented, unlimited Jihad imperatives. Read them and curse Islam.

8:39. And fight them until there is no more Fitnah (disbelief and polytheism: i.e. worshipping others besides Allah) and the religion (worship) will all be for Allah Alone [in the whole of the world ]. But if they cease (worshipping others besides Allah), then certainly, Allah is All-Seer of what they do.

9:29. Fight against those who (1) believe not in Allah, (2) nor in the Last Day, (3) nor forbid that which has been forbidden by Allah and His Messenger (4) and those who acknowledge not the religion of truth (i.e. Islam) among the people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians), until they pay the Jizyah with willing submission, and feel themselves subdued.

Al-Anfal 39 specifically refers to the pagans at Mekkah. But, unfortunately, it contains more general language.  One of the compound terminal conditions is that only Allah be worshiped. Note the expression in brackets The translators got that from a tafsir. I have quoted the Hilali & Khan translation. Click the link I provided and read  Abdullah Yusufali's translation.

And fight them on until there is no more tumult or oppression, and there prevail justice and faith in God altogether and everywhere; but if they cease, verily God doth see all that they do

Al-Taubah 29 declares war upon anyone having a scriptural religion who does not convert to Islam. They are to be fought until they are subjugated and pay extortion.  Click the link I provided and read Rodwell's translation.

Make war upon such of those to whom the Scriptures have been given as believe not in God, or in the last day, and who forbid not that which God and His Apostle have forbidden, and who profess not the profession of the truth, until they pay tribute out of hand, and they be humbled.

    But of course those are anachronisms, not applicable to modern times and conditions. Yeah, right. Moe had something to say about that, why won't you listen? I made the crucial clause bold red so you can spot it.

Abu Dawud Book 14, Number 2526

    Narrated Anas ibn Malik:

    The Prophet (peace_be_upon_him) said: Three things are the roots of faith: to refrain from (killing) a person who utters, "There is no god but Allah" and not to declare him unbeliever whatever sin he commits, and not to excommunicate him from Islam for his any action; and jihad will be performed continuously since the day Allah sent me as a prophet until the day the last member of my community will fight with the Dajjal (Antichrist). The tyranny of any tyrant and the justice of any just (ruler) will not invalidate it. One must have faith in Divine decree.

Jihad continues from 610 to Judgement Day!  What is Jihad? Hilali & Khan define it in a footnote to 2:190.

V. 2:190) Al-Jihad (holy fighting) ln AlIah's Cause (with full force of numbers
and weaponry) is given the utmost importance in Islam and is one of its pillars (on
which it stands). By Jihad Islam is established, Allah's Word is made superior, (His
Word belng La Haha illallah which means none has the right to be worshiped but
Allah), and His Religion (Islam) is propagated. By abandoning Jihad (may Allah
protect us from that) Islam is destroyed and the Muslims fall into an inferior
position; their honour is lost, their lands are stolen, their rule and authority vanish.
Jihad is an obligatory duty In Islam on every Muslim, and he who tries to escape
from this duty, or does not in his innermost heart wish to fulfil this duty, dies with
one of the qualities of a hypocrite.
Narrated Abdullah bin Masud I asked Allah's Messenger,  'O Allah's Messenger!
what is th e best deed?' He replied, "To offer the Salat (prayers) at their early fixed
 stated times.' I asked, 'What is next ln goodness?" He replied, 'To be good and
dutlful to your parents." I further asked, 'What is next in goodness?' He replied,
'To participate in Jihad in Allaha's Cause.' I did not ask AIIAh's Messenger anymore
and if l had asked him more. he would have told me more. (Sahi Al-Bukhari VoI.4. Hadith N¤.41).

Holy fighting in Allah's cause. With full force.  Shariah: Islamic law, also defines Jihad. Refer to Book O, Chapter 9 of Reliance of the Traveller. I have added links in the text to facilitate your research. .

Chapter O9.0: Jihad 

(O: Jihad means to war against non-Muslims, and is etymologically derived from the word mujahada signifying warfare to establish the religion. And it is the lesser jihad. As for the greater jihad, it is spiritual warfare against the lower self (nafs), which is why the Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace) said as he was returning from jihad.

``We have returned from the lesser jihad to the greater jihad.''

The scriptural basis for jihad, prior to scholarly consensus (def: b7) is such Koranic verses as:

-1- ``Fighting is prescribed for you'' (Koran 2:216);

-2- ``Slay them wherever you find them'' (Koran 4:89);

-3- ``Fight the idolators utterly'' (Koran 9:36);

and such hadiths as the one related by Bukhari and Muslim that the Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace) said:

``I have been commanded to fight people until they testify that there is no god but Allah and that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah, and perform the prayer, and pay zakat. If they say it, they have saved their blood and possessions from me, except for the rights of Islam over them. And their final reckoning is with Allah'';

and the hadith reported by Muslim,

``To go forth in the morning or evening to fight in the path of Allah is better than the whole world and everything in it.''Details concerning jihad are found in the accounts of the military expeditions of the Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace), including his own martial forays and those on which he dispatched others. The former consist of the ones he personally attended, some twenty-seven (others say twenty-nine) of them. He fought in eight of them, and killed only one person with his noble hand, Ubayy ibn Khalaf, at the battle of Uhud. On the latter expeditions he sent others to fight, himself remaining at Medina, and these were forty-seven in number.)

    How frequently must Jihad be performed?  Paragraph one provides this detail for us, as regards fighting Kuffar in their home countries.

As for subsequent times, there are two possible states in respect to non-Muslims.

The first is when they are in their own countries, in which case jihad (def: o9.8) is a communal obligation, and this is what our author is speaking of when he says, "Jihad is a communal obligation," meaning upon the Muslims each year.

In case that is not entirely clear, another quote from al-Shafi'i should clear it up for you, if not, you are too stupid to breathe, let alone read.

Al-Shafi'i (God have mercy on him) said: "The least that the imam must do is that he allow no year to pass without having organised a military expedition by himself, or by his raiding parties, according to the Muslims' interest, so that the jihad will only be stopped in a year for a (reasonable) excuse." He said: "If he did not undertake the sending of enough troops to fight, those who are absent (must) go out, and consider as an obligation that which God (who is praised) said."

    So, the Muslims are legally obligated by Allah's command & Moe's example, to make war on somebody every year. Who, exactly are they to do it to? For this, we turn to Book O9.8 & 9.9.  Read it and curse Islam!

O9.8: The Objectives of Jihad

The caliph (o25) makes war upon Jews, Christians, and Zoroastrians (N: provided he has first invited them to enter Islam in faith and practice, and if they will not, then invited them to enter the social order of Islam by paying the non-Muslim poll tax (jizya, def: o11.4) -which is the significance of their paying it, not the money itself-while remaining in their ancestral religions) (O: and the war continues) until they become Muslim or else pay the non-Muslim poll tax (O: in accordance with the word of Allah Most High,

"Fight those who do not believe in Allah and the Last Day and who forbid not what Allah and His messenger have forbidden-who do not practice the religion of truth, being of those who have been given the Book-until they pay the poll tax out of hand and are humbled" (Koran 9.29),

the time and place for which is before the final descent of Jesus (upon whom be peace).  After his final coming, nothing but Islam will be accepted from them, for taking the poll tax is only effective until Jesus' descent (upon him and our Prophet be peace), which is the divinely revealed law of Muhammad. The coming of Jesus does not entail a separate divinely revealed law, for he will rule by the law of Muhammad. As for the Prophet's saying (Allah bless him and give him peace),

"I am the last, there will be no prophet after me,"

this does not contradict the final coming of Jesus (upon whom be peace), since he will not rule according to the Evangel, but as a follower of our Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace) ).

O9.9

The caliph fights all other peoples until they become Muslim (O: because they are not a people with a Book, nor honored as such, and are not permitted to settle with paying the poll tax (jizya) ) (n: though according to the Hanafi school, peoples of all other religions, even idol worshipers, are permitted to live under the protection of the Islamic state if they either become Muslim or agree to pay the poll tax, the sole exceptions to which are apostates from Islam and idol worshipers who are Arabs, neither of whom has any choice but becoming Muslim (al-Hidaya Shariah Bidaya al-mubtadi' (y21), 6.48-49) ).

Why does the Caliph make war upon Jews, Christians & Zoroastrians? Because of Allah's divine command in Al-Taubah 29.  Got a clue yet? Shariah is explicit; read O9.8 again!    Why does the Caliph fight all other peoples? Could it be Al-Anfal 39?. Could it be Moe's declarationthat he was ordered to fight the people?  

    Whoopee!! We're home free! Attaturk dissolved the Caliphate so they can't make war any more. Yeah, right.

O9.6

It is offensive to conduct a military expedition against hostile non-Muslims without the caliph's permission (A: though if there is no caliph (def: o25), no permission is required).

    The fools have one last refuge: mis-translation, mis-interpretation, out of context and ignoring peaceful verses. I have one resource which trumps those moronic assertions. Ibn Kathir spent his adult life studying the Qur'an & hadith. His tafsir is the most widely accepted exegeses of the Qur'an. In 3:7, Allah tells us that his book contains commands in clear verses. 

3:7. It is He Who has sent down to you (Muhammad ) the Book (this Qur'an). In it are Verses that are entirely clear, they are the foundations of the Book [and those are the Verses of Al-Ahkam (commandments, etc.), Al-Fara'id (obligatory duties) and Al-Hudud (legal laws for the punishment of thieves, adulterers, etc.)]; and others not entirely clear. So as for those in whose hearts there is a deviation (from the truth) they follow that which is not entirely clear thereof, seeking Al-Fitnah (polytheism and trials, etc.), and seeking for its hidden meanings, but none knows its hidden meanings save Allah. And those who are firmly grounded in knowledge say: "We believe in it; the whole of it (clear and unclear Verses) are from our Lord." And none receive admonition except men of understanding. (Tafsir At-Tabarî).

Ibn Kathir tells us that those commands are to be believed and implemented.

The Muhkamat are the Ayat that explain the abrogating rulings, the allowed, prohibited, laws, limits, obligations and rulings that should be believed in and implemented. As for the Mutashabihat Ayat, they include the abrogated Ayat, parables, oaths, and what should be believed in, but not implemented.

The titles which Ibn Kathir gave to some of his tafsir topics should give us pause.  These tafsirs present the Arabic text, English translation, related ayat and hadith. Read them and comprehend the fact that Allah's damn book means exactly what it says in plain language.

• The Command to have Enmity towards the Disbelievers and to abandon supporting Them
• The Command to strike the Enemies' Necks, tighten Their Bonds, and then free Them either by an Act of Grace or for a Ransom
• The Order to fight until there is no more Fitnah
• Allah gives Victory to the Believing Group
• Permission to fight; this is the first Ayah of Jihad
• The Order for Jihad against the Disbelievers, the Closest, then the Farthest Areas
• The Order to fight to eradicate Shirk and Kufr
• The Order to fight People of the Scriptures until They give the Jizyah
• The Order for Jihad against the Disbelievers and Hypocrites
• The Good News that Muslims will conquer the Known World, and ultimately the Entire World
• The Good News that Muslims will Dominate the People of the Book
• The Good News that Islam shall prevail

    Violent, hateful & antisemitic verses are scattered throughout the Qur'an, which is about one third of the Bible's length. Both the Qur'an and hadith contain considerable redundancy.  These Surahs

• 9 AT-TAWBA (REPENTANCE, DISPENSATION)
• 33 AL-AHZAB (THE CLANS, THE COALITION,THE COMBINED FORCES)
• 48 AL-FATH (VICTORY, CONQUEST)
• 61 AS-SAFF (THE RANKS, BATTLE ARRAY)

 are required to develop a full comprehension of the Jihad imperative.

    President Bush talks about the war of ideas, but he never identifies the ideas.

• supremacism
• triumphalism
• tribalism
• literalism
• absolutism

and, most important, the mandate to conquer the entire world; those are the ideas we must fight.  We must show the Ummah al-Islamiyya exactly who Moe was and what he did. They believe him to be the best and greatest of men, worthy of emulation.  Most of them have not read the hadith. Reading and comprehending the Qur'an & hadith causes many Muslims to apostasize.

    Read the Qur'an and understand that Muslims are required to obey Allah's commands and emulate Moe's example. Read the Hadith and understand that Moe committed genocide & terrorism.  They can't get to Paradise and claim their Houris & wine until they convert or kill us.  Do you comprehend what that means?  Islam is eternal war. We must rid the earth of it.  

    The unlearned lessons of Vietnam:

• territory
• seize
• hold
• secure
• sanctuaries must be denied.

    The unlearned lesson of Afghanistan & Iraq:

• break Allah's yoke of slavery
• induce mass apostasy 
• kill the recidivists. 

    The unlearned lesson of Israel:

• allow no Muslims within rocket range.
